My Photo Gallery
And back home:
This is the 108 bottles of wine I purchased. |
Here is 100 bottles of wine loaded in my wine cooler. |
...and this is the overflow... don't know where I'm going to put
it... drinkin' time!!! |
Took pictures in Vegas though!
Dolphin Exhibit at The Mirage. |
White Tiger at the Mirage. |
Striped Tiger at the Mirage. |
Krysta and Tyler at Treasure Island. |
Cool pic of Paris Paris. |
Elvis sighting. |
Cool pic from the Star Trek Museum. |
Hoover Dam. |
Generators at Hoover Dam. |
Clearly, I stopped taking pictures at some point... not
sure why. I took absolutely no pictures in Sun Valley. Possibly
because I'm there every year... sorry.
Then on to North Fork, Idaho
Hwy 90 South to North Folk... that would be snow... me not happy. |
Made it to Wagonhammer RV park, I only thought I was close to the
river last time... wow. |
If I pulled up a little farther, I'd be IN the water... so cool. |
Took some pictures on a hike. |
Followed a Lewis & Clark trail, that was quite interesting. |
It followed a relatively small stream. |
Today I went on a 33 mile motorcycle ride, absolutely
beautiful terrain!
Great view of the turning leaves. |
Just a quick pic proving I was actually there. |
Notice the ground is a bit white. Snow? Not sure,
probably frost... but there was definitely a chill in the air. |
Now I'm in Kingston, ID at the Country Lane B&B and RV
Resort. Very nice!!
Here's my camping spot. It is fall and the leaves are
perfect. |
Looking the other direction up the lake. |
This is how close I am to the water. Very peaceful, but
plenty cold. |
So... drinking wine and taking pictures are not
particularly compatible activities, but here's a couple:
This is the view from Kiona's new tasting room. It's not
open yet, but I got a pre-tour... quite fabulous. |
Still from the tasting room, just took a shot of my motor home.
|
|
Lazy Sunday working on the Motorhome:
Today was about checking the brakes on the motor home.
They've been squealing something fierce! |
There might have been a bit of precipitation while we were trying
to pull the rear tires off. |
Fortunately, the brakes look like their in good shape, so I just
cleaned up the rotors... we'll see. |
Just a fun shot, but you can see I'm getting a wee bit damp. |

Nothing like working in the rain. |
This is Rob... not sure what else to say... |
Oregon, The Black Lab for beer "tasting":
On to Oregon:
Hey, there's a Phoenix, Oregon... didn't know that. |
Here are the kids starting the crush. It was pretty funny. |
|
Napa Valley:
Found another lovely camp site at a state park. No
electric, but it was nice. |
I guess I was claiming this rock as my own. |
Now I'm in Napa country. This is a shot at Mondavi. |
Real grapes. |
|
|
Next I got to hang out with Susan who actually lives in San
Fran:
Here is Susan's view of the city from her apartment... quite
nice. |
Guess these are the Parrots of San Fran. |
Here's some of the guys from the Nimitz with Susan. |
Saw the Blue Angels in action... very cool. |
One of the wonderful views we saw while hiking what felt like the
entire town. |
|
On to San Francisco:
Here's the f-ing rooster that woke me up at 4:00 every
morning. Lovely little creature. |
And here's Robin! My friend since college. |
|
My parking spot in San Fran close to Robin's house... couldn't
get that thing any closer. |
Once again, it required a little support to get level. |
Now I'm actually in the city. They still turn the cable cars
around by hand. |
Pretty cool ride, you get pretty close to oncoming traffic
though. |
Toured a WWII submarine... that was pretty cool. |
This is Alcatraz as seen from the sub... haven't made it there
yet. |
Pier 39 where the sea lions took over. |
The Aquarium. This is a school of sardines. |
Big fish... don't remember what kind. |
Well, the cable car is out so I started walking up the track...
all the way from the waters edge. |
Found out why the cable car was out... broken cable. It was
pretty interesting watching them fix it. |
Cable car being towed. |
Quick trip to Phoenix for my Grandmother's 90th Birthday:
Then on to New Brighton State Beach (near Capitola):
Once gain, a very nice camp spot. |
Not too level though, notice a bit of air under the tire... once
again. |
Just a couple steps away... here's the view. |
Camp site is on top of the cliff. |
Great waves, I could hear them all night. |
|
Quick stop in Monterey Bay:
Big Sur:
Gorgeous drive, but damn those roads are narrow!!! |
Okay... really narrow. This is what happens when you get
REALLY close to a mountain. Let me tell you, that made a LOT
of noise. |
The journey was worth it though. Here's my parking spot. |
The view out my window. |
The creek surrounding the RV park. |
Very nice. |
Hearst Castle (or ranch I guess):
They say its just a ranch, but that sucker is big. |
Just a little pool outside. |
One of the walkways. I definitely recommend seeing this if
you get a chance. |
Pismo Beach:
Great camp ground. That sandy hill is the edge of the
beach. |
Some of the spaces were a little closer to water. |
Still a beautiful drive from here. |
On to Santa Barbara:
Awesome scenic drive. |
Got to ride my bike a bit through Santa Barbara... I
actually should have walked... |
|
Welcome to LA:
Next, I was on to Amanda's. She was kind enough to
chauffer me around LA since the motor home is a bit too cumbersome for
driving in LA.
Beautiful house in Burbank. |
Don't think the driveway liked my RV. |
|
Our first stop was to "Killer Shrimp". Now
that was good eatin'
San Diego: (Kim and Steve's House)
Parked
in front of Kim & Steve's house. It's about as long as their front
yard.
|

Notice
the left tire is off the ground... they live on a hill...
|
Getting ready for my
first motorcycle excursion. Yes Mom, I stuck to the sideroads.
|
This
is the view from Kim and Steve's back yard...
|

Here's
proof that I was actually there.
|

Just a gorgeous view!
|
As the trip begins, I'll update these pictures as I get time and internet
ability. This is pretty much the RV... In all its glory.
